I loved every word of this article from Autism with a Side of Fries. How often do we find people using compassion and understanding to let kids get away with anything?
Kids- all kids, with or without disabilities- need high expectations. Believe they can do it. Set the bar high. Show them how to get there. They will get there!
Teachers often use the term self-fulfilling prophecy. Well- let’s create an environment where children know what the expectations are and those expectations are set high. HIGH.
Who knows, they may just exceed these high expectations and blow you away!
